Our Projects

Tatanga Energy is currently developing 2 solar p.v. projects, of which the most advanced is the Sable Solar Energy project located near Sable Chemical Industries Limited’s facility at Sherwood, Kwekwe. The project comprises a grid-connected 50 MW Solar PV plant, which will sell electricity to the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC). Sable Solar Energy is the first phase of a planned 400 MW solar park, which Tatanga Energy and its partners intend to develop within the same location. Further information regarding the projects can be found below.

Sable Solar Park

Sable Solar Park is a scalable solar park (envisaged capacity up to 400 MW) that is being developed on land adjacent to Sable Chemicals’ fertilizer production facility at Sherwood, 20 km outside the city of Kwekwe, on the Harare to Bulawayo highway.  Learn more here.

TEGES Solar Energy

TEGES Solar Energy is a 5 MW solar power plant being developed at St Patrick’s High School with the Anglican Diocese of Central of Zimbabwe. Learn more here.

Sable Solar Energy (Phase 1)

Sable Solar Energy Phase 1 is a licensed 50 MW solar PV project. The project is being developed as the first phase of the Sable Solar Park. The first 50 MW phase of the project is expected to produce energy for the national grid by 2025. Learn more here.

Guruve - Mazowe Wind Power Project

The Guruve-Mazowe Wind Power Project is an early-stage 100MW project jointly being developed by Enerfin Sociedad de Energia, S.L.U. (“Enerfin”). The project is being developed in Mashonaland Central Province. Learn more here.

Sable Chemicals Green Ammonia

The Sable Chemicals Green Ammonia Project includes the integration of an electrolysis plant based upon new cutting- edge electrolysis technologies to produce, in its first phase, circa 30,000 tons of “green” ammonia gas p.a.   Learn more here.
